New Delhi: BJP MP Pratap Simha, who is at the center of a massive political row over the Lok Sabha security breach, on Sunday responded to the controversy as well as the 'traitor' posters, saying that the people of the country will do their part in calling it out. election in 2024.
Simha's office had issued visitor passes to two men who barged into the Lok Sabha and created a ruckus, triggering a political row that culminated in the suspension of 143 opposition MPs from Parliament for the winter session.

In his first public reaction to the controversy, he said that he left it up to the gods and his followers to decide whether he was a traitor or not.
The Congress-led opposition demanded action against Simha
“Is Pratap Simha a traitor or a patriot – the mother goddess Chamundeshwari sitting in the hills of Mysuru, the mother goddess Cauvery sitting in Brahmagiri, my fan readers in Karnataka who have been reading my writings for twenty years, and the people of Mysuru and Kodgu who have seen the work me for 9.5 years and my conduct on issues related to the state, dharma and nationalism – will give its judgment through voting in the Lok Sabha polls to be held in April 2024,” Simha said, reported PTI.
On posters calling him a traitor, he said: “They (the people) must ultimately make the decision. They will decide whether I am a patriot. I leave it to their decision. I have nothing to say. say something other than that. »
Simha faced protests from Congress workers.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said on Friday that Simha's statement was recorded as part of the probe into the Parliament security breach case.
Simha is a two-term MP from Mysuru. He was a journalist before winning the Lok Sabha elections in 2014.
