3. There were nearly 5 million phishing attempts in Indonesia last year

Kaspersky’s latest statistics for Southeast Asia show that 43,455,502 phishing attempts were successfully blocked by Kaspersky solutions in the region in 2022. Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand lead the countries with the highest number of phishing detections in the past year for the Southeast Asia region.

Additionally, 4,931,367 phishing attempts were successfully blocked by Kaspersky solutions in 2022 in Indonesia. This number represents malicious emails that were blocked by the Kaspersky Anti-Phishing system in the country last year, both at the level of individual users and companies.
