New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the program marking National Technology Day 2023 at Pragati Maidan on Thursday.
This event also marks the beginning of the celebration of the 25th National Technology Day which will be held from May 11 to 14.
On occasion, Modi will also lay the foundation stone and dedicate various science projects to the nation valued at over Rs 5,800 crore.
He will also lay the foundation stone of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory – India (LIGO-India).
It will be one of the few laser interferometer gravitational wave observatories in the world.
Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate a virtual “Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Factory, Visakhapatnam” to the country. India will join a select group of countries with the capacity to manufacture rare earth permanent magnets.
During the event, the Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the National Hadron Beam Therapy Facility and the Fission Molybdenum-99 Production Facility.
The facility will strengthen the country’s capacity in advanced cancer treatment and medical imaging.
He will also lay the foundation stones and dedicate several cancer hospitals and facilities to the nation, which will decentralize and improve the delivery of world-class cancer care in different parts of the country.
