In a new role change, Ogilvy India announced on September 26 that Piyush Pandey has stepped down as Chairman Global Creative and Executive Chairman and has been replaced by VR Rajesh.
The new change will come into effect from January 1, 2024.
Additionally, the company even announced that Hephzibah Pathak has taken on the role of CEO, which is reportedly the first time a woman has held the role Economic times. She will lead and drive the company’s strategic direction, growth and transformation agenda.
In the meantime, Piyush Pandey will now serve as Chief Advisor and work closely with the leadership team in working with major accounts.

Additionally, Group Executive Co-Chairman of India and COO of South Asia – SN Rane – will act as business advisor to the agency.

Addressing the media in Mumbai, Ogilvy Global CEO Devika Seth Bulchandani said Pandey will not be responsible for day-to-day management.
According to the details, Pandey has been associated with Oligvy for 41 years. Creativity and its impact on our customers’ businesses are at the heart of Oligvy. In keeping with my passion, I will work with and lead the new leadership as always. Our shared goal is to ensure that we not only maintain our core strengths, but also improve them.” AND Pandey was quoted as saying.
The company statement said three chief creative officers (CCOs) – Harshad Rajadhyaksha, Kainaz Karmakar and Sukesh Nayak – will join the board of Ogilvy India. Additionally, the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, Prem Narayan, also joins the board.
