Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Men’s doubles coach Herry Iman Pierngadi share views on the indonesian men’s doubles team from Kevin/MarcusAhsan/Hendra, Fajar/Rian, to Pramudya/Jeremiah.
Herry IP admits that there are a lot of things that need to be highlighted as a number of moments have happened in the two tournament series in Indonesia, Indonesia Masters and Indonesia Open.
After winning the title through Fajar/Rian at the Indonesia Masters, the men’s doubles failed to send any reps to the Indonesia Open semi-finals.
What is Herry IP’s point of view? Here is the interview with CNNIndonesia.com:
1. How do you see the overall outcome of the Indonesia Open without any men’s doubles representatives in the semi-finals?
It’s called a game [ada kalah dan menang]what is certain is that the players have been playing hard since the Indonesian Masters.
I asked Fajar/Rian in the quarter-finals if they had run out of energy. Now I think it’s also tight in men’s doubles, no one is dominant.
In these conditions, for me, Fajar/Rian was consistent, it’s pretty good. These young ones [Leo/Daniel dan Fikri/Bagas] still a lot of public relations.
Except Pram/Yere [Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Rambitan]. In fact Pram/Yere if for example there were no injuries, the story could be different.
Maybe they can qualify for the semi-finals, and maybe that’s another story. I think the possibilities are wide open. Because of the injury, the story is different.
2. Does that mean Fajar/Rian lost to Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi because of stamina?
Watching Fajar/Rian play the Indonesia Masters and the Indonesia Open is different. I asked, it’s a bit Empty too.
All come from the muscles of their hands. They smash hit as impenetrable. So a little confused too, panicked.
In my opinion, the Chinese doubles also performed well and were pretty good.
3. So how about Leo/Daniel losing to Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen?
Leo/Daniel I see that the muscular endurance of the hand is still lacking. In the third game, it shows, because in game terms the differences are slim.
Especially Leo’s hand muscles are still visible. flying in Istora it is quite heavy, so you can see it there. Especially if Leo as a playmaker was removed. The rotation should be smoother. Daniel also yesterday had declined.
Their hand muscle endurance is still not enough, they still need some extra training.
4. How about Ahsan/Hendra’s performance against Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi?
As I said, Liu / Ou played well, because generally attacks can penetrate, easy to kill. Their performance at the Indonesia Open was indeed extraordinary, maybe because they were good or they really performed Nothing to lose because they came instead of the Indian players.
Second, Ahsan/Hendra are quite old, so they are physically limited. But for example yesterday rubber gamescould be another story.

5. How about the Kevin/Marcus rating?
Marcus’ appearance wasn’t perfect as he wasn’t ready. For example, someone asks, “If it’s not ready, why is it removed?” ยป
Because Marcus after surgery needs a real match to measure how bad his condition is. They entered the semi-finals of the Indonesian Masters, that’s good. This is not optimal and still far from the best level.
On Tuesday morning Marcus returned for an MRI and in the next few days it will be decided whether or not to participate in the Malaysian Open. We’ll see if it’s still in progress or cancelled.

6. What about the public spotlight on Kevin’s gesture when he lost in the second round of the Indonesia Open?
Maybe Kevin then stupid, the conditions did not match his wishes, as he wanted to perform well as a host player. Marcus is still not ready, it could be like that.
Whether the position wins or loses, must be acceptable. As a top player and as a champion, you have to address yourself correctly.
I communicated it with Kevin in outline. Not yet in detail, because the question must of course be discussed specifically.
Kevin should have known because he was also a top player.
