Pembangunan Jaya University Hosts “A Digital Journey Through Asia and Germany”

COMPAS.com – Pembangunan Jaya University, in collaboration with the German University of Cologne, Symbiosis International University of India and Tongji University of China, organized the program “A Digi-Journey Through Asia and Germany” from 8 to August 19, 2022.

The program, held in 2021, is again implemented using a virtual format with a focus on aspects of cross-cultural interaction and communication from Indonesia, Germany, India and from China.

“A Digi-Journey Through Asia and Germany” in 2022 brought together 30 participants and more than 20 speakers from four countries, consisting of academics and practitioners in various field groups.

There were three interactive and engaging Pembangunan Jaya University sessions held on August 17, 2022, the three sessions focused on the role of Indonesian youth nationally and globally in the fields of environment, sports and fashion.

This session of Pembangunan Jaya University was filled by:

  • Ranitya Nurlita (environmental activist and founder of Waste Solution Hub)
  • Nurul Zuriantie Shamsul (Miss Universe New Zealand 2018)
  • Marcus Fernaldi Gideon (Badminton Rank 1 Men’s Doubles)
  • Stephani Widjaja (Junior badminton, rank 1 in women’s singles)

Ranitya Nurlita explained many things related to the environmental campaigns she had done. He also explained the role and actions that young people can take regarding the environmental issues that are happening around them.

While Nurul Zuriantie Shamsul started the session by explaining the history and presenting the procedures of batik making, the session ended with participants practicing creating batik designs on paper using paper towel. letters.

Session Share an experience and values Badminton has become the main attraction for the participants, as the participants’ home countries have also achieved many achievements in similar sports.

Attendees were very excited to ask the performers directly and type in the Zoom comments column, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Stephanie Widjaja responded well.

Although using Indonesian to answer the questions, the answers and the messages conveyed were well received by the participants thanks to the translation assistance of the moderator.
