During the meeting, Yahya passed on the activity follow-up Religion of the Twenty (R20) which took place in November 2022. He said the event was a success and his organization will now follow developments with the invited countries.

“Follow-up here includes building relationships with the Indian government and religious leaders. Hopefully next year R20 can also be implemented in India under the leadership of India’s G20 Presidency,” he said on Tuesday (01/02/2023).

Furthermore, he said that the Head of State instructed Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) to continue to consolidate intensively in the discharge of his duties and to meet the challenges.

Yahya said NU is ready to serve and build better community relations.

“The president has given instructions to Nahdlatul Ulama to carry out intensive consolidation down to the base, because in the future we will have a lot of tasks and challenges that we will have to face,” he said. he declares.

On this occasion, Yahya also said that PBNU invited Jokowi to attend the 1st Century Anniversary of Nahdlatul Ulama which would be held in Sidoarjo, East Java and which would be attended by scholars from various countries. He also assured that the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia is also willing to attend.

“I hope there are no obstacles. Insha’Allah later, at the height of the commemoration, we will hold a grand reception at the Delta Sports Building in Sidoarjo and insha’Allah, no less than a million members of the Nahdlatul Ulama congregation, its clerics, even scholars from various countries all over the world who God willing will also participate in the event,” the PBNU President concluded.
