PB Perbakin Holds 12th Asian Youth Air Rifle Training and Training Camp

JAKARTA – The Executive Board of the Indonesian Shooting and Hunting Sports Association (PB Perbakin) held 12th Asian Youth Air Rifle Training and Training Camp .The event was opened by the chairman of the committee, Brigadier General TNI (Purn) Siswanto who is also the daily chairman of PB Perbakin, as well as the Vice President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) Javaid Shamshad who is familiarly called Lodhi, Sunday (07/02/2023).

No less than 18 young athletes and shooting coaches from eleven Asian countries participated in the 12th Asian Youth Air Rifle Training and Training Camp by taking part in shooting exercises held at PB Perbakin Shooting Range , Senayan, Jakarta. PB Perbakin Daily Chairman Siswanto said the championship could improve athletes’ skills while strengthening friendship.

“In addition to improving the skills of athletes and coaches, this training camp also promotes friendship,” Siswanto said during a welcome speech to attendees.

Athletes and coaches who participated in this training camp came from Indonesia, Timor Leste, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Iran, Bhutan, Oman and Yemen . During the training which took place from July 1 to 11, 2023, the participants received training from an Olympic level coach, namely Deepak K Dubey from India.

“Indonesia can become a prosperous country and have good future athletes,” Lodhi said when opening the training.

The Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) also assessed that under the leadership of PB Perbakin President Joni Supriyanto, the program for the 12th Air Rifle Youth Training and Training Camp 2023 is well prepared.

For your information, Indonesia has been appointed directly by CSA President Sheikh Salman to host the 12th Asian Youth Air Rifle Training and Training Camp as an appreciation of CSA for Perbakin who carried out the development and training of shooting sports, showing significant improvements in both the construction of infrastructures, the training scheme of the coaches of the athletes and the quality of the achievements obtained

“Indonesia’s demographic bonus has huge potential to produce world-class athletes and good coaches,” said PB Perbakin President Joni Supriyanto.

During the 11 days of training, young athletes and coaches will receive training materials ranging from shooting techniques and training, as well as knowledge on athlete nutrition and in-depth knowledge of the weapons used and international shooting regulations. ISSF.

“For Indonesia, it is hoped that this training target will add experience to the athletes and the coaches will gain world-class training knowledge,” concluded Joni Supriyanto.
