Speaking at the opening, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Châu emphasized the importance of Ex VINBAX 2022 in defense relations and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India.
The Ambassador thanks the Indian Ministry of Defence, in particular 474e engineer brigade, to create the best conditions for the Vietnamese delegation to participate in the exercise.
The theme of Ex VINBAX 2022 is the employment and placement of engineering companies and medical teams as part of the UN contingent for peacekeeping operations, according to a statement from the Indian defense ministry.
Organizing Ex VINBAX 2022 as a field exercise with a wider scope than the previous edition, will build mutual trust, interoperability and sharing of best practices between the Indian Army and the Vietnamese People’s Army.
Practice lasts until August 21. The Vietnamese People’s Army was represented by 45 soldiers and officers.
