The funding round led by prominent investors such as Matrix Partners India and others raised an equity investment of $50 million at a valuation of $1 billion,” the company said.

Krutrim introduced its Large Language Base Model (LLM) last month. With the largest representation of Indian data used for its training, Krutrim claims to advance generative AI applications across all Indian languages.
The Krutrim LLM family includes Krutrim Base and Krutrim Pro and provides advanced features and technical advancements for inference. Krutrim announced last month that it would run an early access program through January 2024 with a simple login page on the website.
