The Ridley Scott biopic dedicated to Napoleon, starring Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix, will be released in theaters in late November.
New photos, release date… Apple TV + has more to say about the historic biopic of Napoleon, whose theatrical release was announced in November and will precede streaming.
“Napoleon, a film by Ridley Scott, in all theaters on 22 November”, shared the platform on his Instagram account. The publication was accompanied by a photo featuring Joaquin Phoenix in a Bonaparte costume.
First official shot
If some shots of the 48-year-old actor in a Napoleon costume have leaked while filming in England in March 2022, this first official photo features Joaquin Phoenix in full combat. On horseback, the actor, who was filming “Joker 2” in New York with Lady Gaga, crossed the plains surrounded by soldiers, swords in hand and hats tilted on their heads.
Of note, Ridley Scott’s film looks back at the origins and rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. He will also tell of his relationship with Joséphine de Beauharnais. The Empress will be played on screen by Vanessa Kirby. Two French actors were also announced for casting. Tahar Rahim encamped there Viscount Paul Barras and Ludivine Sagnier, the influential Theresa Cabarrus.
