Motorola Edge 50 Pro: What we know so far
THE Lenovo-owned company uses the slogan “Intelligence meets art” for the upcoming phone. Motorola also confirmed that in addition to being available on the e-commerce platform Flipkart as well as other offline stores. Edge 50 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and will work on Hello user interface based on Android 14. The company also confirmed 3 years of OS updates for the phone and will support 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone will come with a 68W charger in the box.
The company also confirmed a 6.7-inch, 1.5K, 144Hz curved pOLED display, which will be validated by Pantone for the first time in the world. The display will offer a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits and support HDR 10+ along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Edge 50 Pro will even support generative AI-based themes, the company confirmed. It will pack a 50 MP rear camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide camera with macro option, a 10 MP telephoto lens with 50x hybrid zoom and camera features like AI adaptive stabilization, focus tracking automatic, AI photo enhancement engine and tilt mode.
This phone will also be the world's first Pantone validated camera capable of capturing true colors as they are supposed to be, the company claims.
