Youth from other nations will only aspire to work in India if we establish multinationals like Google and Amazon in the country, Deputy Prime Minister Manish Sisodia said here on Friday.
Sisodia, who is also Minister of Education in Delhi, addressed the students of two private schools.
“We must establish companies like Google and Amazon in our country and only then will young people from other nations aspire to work in India,” he said.
He said only better education for children could make India the number one country in the world and the biggest indicator of that would be when children from other countries aspire to study in Indian universities and work in their companies.
“The day parents in America or Europe dream of sending their children to Indian universities for higher education, our nation can be considered the number one country in the world,” he said.
Referring to the AAP-led Delhi government’s entrepreneurship program – Business Blasters – Sisodia said it will allow every student to show the best in themselves and develop fine entrepreneurial skills.
“The program is a catalyst for changing attitudes among students, turning them into job providers rather than job seekers,” he said.
He went on to say that “no government” can make the country “the best on its own”.
“All 131 million Indians must work together to make this dream come true. Therefore, in the 75th year of independence, everyone should make a pledge that together we will make India the greatest and education is the only way to achieve this vision,” he added.
