After a failed CrowdStrike update that took down Microsoft systems worldwide, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu said that from 3:00 am IST, aviation systems at airports would start functioning normally.
Naidu shared a note on Twitter stating that flight operations were again going smoothly. The note said that even if there was a delay, all issues were expected to be resolved by the afternoon.
When Microsoft's power outage caused flight delays and cancellations around the world, Indian airports went back to processing passengers manually and issuing them handwritten boarding passes.
Travelers have few choices in terms of where to eat and rest as CrowdStrike works to identify and solve the problem.

The system began to come back online between late July 19 and early July 20.
CrowdStrike said the issue was not caused by a cyberattack, but urged users to remain vigilant against malicious parties trying to take advantage of the incident.
