MotoGP News: Marc Marquez put in an extraordinary performance on the first day of free practice. The Repsol Honda rider said he was satisfied with his performance.
Free Practice 1 turned out to be a busy session for Marc Marquez, who crashed early in the session at Turn 3 before recovering quickly and moving on. Although he fell, that didn’t stop him from becoming the runner with the fastest time.
While in FP2 the Spaniard’s appearance was no less brilliant, he clocked a best time of 1:30.714, just 0.2 seconds off his morning best.
He finished fourth with 1 minute 30.523 seconds in FP1, the Repsol Honda rider continued the strong form shown earlier in Japan for another Grand Prix.
“I’m very happy today, we achieved our goal to improve between races. Today I went out and I feel better than Japan, in Japan I feel better than Aragon – so step by step we are improving. We are competitive with new and used tires and the developments are there to be seen,” he said, reported on Honda’s website.
“I used a lot of energy today and I may have dipped a bit over the weekend, but let’s see. The rain can help but I also feel competitive in the dry season. It’s also interesting to see today’s schedule, I’m excited for another race – India is an important place for all manufacturers and especially for Honda, and I can’t wait to see all the fans there MotoGP.”
