Less than two weeks after patent Luis MillaPersib Bandung officially announced the assistant coach Manuel PerezTuesday (7/9).
Perez was born in Madrid, Spain on April 5, 1989. His father, Carlos Cascallana, is a football manager who served as an assistant coach for Turkish clubs, such as Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
The fruit does not fall far from the tree. Perez also joined the academy team Las Rozas CF. It is a small club domiciled in the city of Madrid and part of a community called Community of Madrid.
In 2007 or at the age of 18, Perez was promoted to the first team to appear in the Tercera Division. For three years he appeared in the semi-professional competition. At the same time, Perez was involved as the team’s coach.
At the same time at Las Rozas, Perez was apparently following the UEFA licensing course. With his experience at Las Rozas, Perez had the opportunity to develop his talents in the youth team of one of the English professional clubs, West Ham United U-16.
While in England, Perez gained valuable experience. As a young manager and newcomer to England, his abilities and talents were put to the test. Therefore, Perez is always exploring and seeking new knowledge.
A year in England, Perez returned to Spain. This time he was offered by an age club from Madrid, Rayo Majadahonda. The club appears in Primera Division. Just like in England, Perez also managed the youth team.
Almost two years at Majadahonda, Perez joined Atletico Madrid’s youth team. Having more than five years of experience as a youth coaching team, Perez finally dared to accept the offer to coach CDE Amistad in 2014.
After taking charge of the college team, Perez returned to the Atletico academy coaching staff. In 2018 he returned to his hometown football club, but this time with the CDE FPA Las Rozas team.
To be precise, in August 2019, Perez was invited by a Spanish coach, Antonio Lopez, to come with him to manage Indian Super League (ISL) team, ATK. For more than a season as an assistant, he was briefly made goalkeeper once there was a change.
During his time as a goalkeeper, Perez led the team twice in competitions. In these two games, ATK managed to win. This story also made another Indian club ATK Mohun Bagan fall in love with her.
Initially becoming an assistant coach, Perez was eventually made the goalkeeper. This job led to him being invited by Luis Milla Aspas to help manage Persib in the 2022/2023 Ligue 1 competition.
