Mann Ki Baat: “The India-Middle East-Europe corridor will become the basis of world trade for years to come,” says Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation with the 108th episode of his monthly radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Prime Minister Modi said: “I have the opportunity to share with all of you the success of the country, the success of the countrymen and their inspiring journey in life.”

According to Prime Minister Modi, he has received several letters from citizens mainly on two issues – firstly, the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 and secondly, the G-20 summit.

“More than 80,000 people watched Chandrayaan-3 land on the moon on ISRO’s YouTube channel,” Modi said.

He appealed to people to participate in the ‘Chandrayaan-3 Mahaquiz’.

Referring to the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, Prime Minister Modi said, “This corridor will become the basis of world trade for hundreds of years and history will always remember that this corridor was initiated on Indian soil.”

Furthermore, regarding the G20 University Connect program, Prime Minister Modi urged university students to participate in it. Many reputed institutions like IITs, IITs, NITs and medical colleges will also participate in the G20 University Connect program, Prime Minister Modi said. The event will be held on September 26 and Prime Minister Modi said he will also take part in this program.

World Tourism Day

World Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27th. Prime Minister Modi said during the Mann Ki Baat program that the fascination with India has increased significantly in the last few years.

“More than a million delegates came to India for the G-20 summit. They learned about the diversity, the different traditions, the different types of cuisines and our heritage.”

Recently, Shantiniketan and Hoysala temples in Karnataka were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. “The total number of world heritage sites in India has now reached 42,” he said.

“Importance of Books”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about the importance of books. Prime Minister Modi praised the efforts of ‘Ghoda Library’ of Uttarakhand. He said: “The biggest feature of this library is to reach out to children even in the remotest areas and not only that, the service is absolutely free. So far, 12 villages in Nainital have been covered with this.”

Prime Minister Modi urged parents to encourage their children to read books. “It is true that today’s era is characterized by digital technology and e-books, but books still play the role of a good friend in our lives. That’s why we should motivate children to read books.”
