INDOSPORT.COM – India’s men’s singles stalwart Lakshya Sen is feeling very confident ahead of his Commonwealth Games debut. Also, in this event, one of Lee Zii Jia’s toughest opponents was absent from the Malaysian defense.
As known, badminton is one of the sports that will be contested in the 2022 Commonwealth Games event, which will be held in Birmingham, England (July 29 – August 8, 2022).
It will be the fifteenth edition of badminton to be contested at the Commonwealth Games since its inclusion in 1966, and the second in England in particular.
Several badminton superpowers have also sent their representatives to participate in this event. Call it, Malaysia, Singapore, India and even England.
India themselves last won a gold medal in the mixed team event when they beat Malaysia 3-1 in 2018.

For Lakshya Sen, who is a finalist at the All England 2022, the 2022 Commonwealth Games event is very special. As well as being a first, it’s the second time he’s been able to feel Birmingham’s aura in a year.
Lakshya Sen, who is now ranked 10th in the world, has even set herself two goals, namely to help the Indian team defend gold in mixed doubles and win gold in the individual events.
Lakshya Sen is also convinced that India’s victory in the Thomas Cup final last May helped his team win gold again at the British Commonwealth Games.
“I think we can repeat the success of the last edition if we really stick together as a team like we did in the Thomas Cup,” said Lakshya Sen. The stars.
