Jakarta: Indian MotoGP continues to be a hot topic of conversation. Before the first Indian series, the local government demanded that the runners pay taxes.
Launched from Speed Weekriders must pay 20.8 percent of their annual income.
We know that previously, Indian MotoGP had already requested contracts from factory riders. It turned out that the contract was to collect taxes as they wanted to appear in the India series.
The obligation to pay this tax only applies to MotoGP factory riders. Riders from MotoGP satellite teams do not need to pay as this is covered by the respective manufacturers.
Meanwhile, Moto2 and Moto3 riders received compensation from Dorna Sports and International Association of Road Racing Teams (IRTA) in each series.
Marquez had to pay IDR 58 billion
Of all the MotoGP factory riders, Honda's main rider Marc Marquez is subject to the highest tax.
In other words, if Marquez receives a remuneration of 15-18 million euros per year, thenhe baby alien must deposit 3 to 3.6 million euros, equivalent to IDR 58.9 billion.
A number of riders have reportedly rejected rules on paying income tax to race at the Buddh circuit in India. In this way, the tax must be borne by factory teams such as Honda, Yamaha, Ducati, Aprilia and KTM.
The Indian MotoGP itself is scheduled to take place this weekend, Saturday (23/9) and Sunday (24/9) at the Buddh International Circuit.
