Jakarta: Senior Director of the Republic of Indonesia Public Broadcasting Institute for Radio of the Republic of Indonesia (Dewas LPP RRI) Hendrasmo said his party is ready to support and participate in socializing the new paradigm of development of high level sports as stipulated in the law number 11 of 2022 concerning sport and the Grand Design of National Sport (DBON) to the public. Indeed, RRI is a partner and stakeholder of the government.

He conveyed it during a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI), Zainudin Amali, in his office, Graha Pemuda Kemenpora Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday ( 6/16).

Also present at the meeting were LPP RRI Supervisory Board Mr. Kusnaeni, Director of Programs and Production, Mistam, Director of Services and Business Development, Yonas Markus Tuhuleru, and Head of Reporting Center, Bambang Dwiyana.

Meanwhile, Menpora Amali was accompanied by Plt Sesmenpora Jonni Mardizal and special staff for sports development and realization, Mahfudin Nigara.

“I think we will definitely support him. RRI is one of the actors who has a duty to help socialize the law so that it is known to the public, so that this sport can progress further and the public can get a lot of benefit from the sport,” he said.

Furthermore, he explained that he had come to meet Menpora Amali in order to synergize and collaborate in terms of information on sports activities.

“Sport is one of the activities, one of the most discussed issues in society, so we really want to provide space, provide more sports content than so far to the public or our public,” Hendrasmo said.

“We believe that this sport has the potential to unite society more. So there are a lot of important things that can be used in sports news, so we are also here to ask for access, approvals so that we can broadcast various sports activities which are under the coordination of the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” he added.

According to him, RRI’s current audience is currently over 20 million people. This number is from one platform only, it has not been combined with a number of media platforms belonging to other RRIs.

“RRI is not only present through a listening platform, but also through online broadcasts, there is also RRI Net which is audiovisual,” he said.

Menpora Amali welcomed and said he was ready to collaborate with RRI because until now it was considered that news or information or activities related to sport were not presented in the media.

“We are ready to collaborate and synergize with RRI, we can collaborate and cooperate a lot regarding sports activities,” said Menpora Amali.

On this occasion, Menpora Amali asked LPP RRI to support and participate in communicating to the public the existence of a new paradigm to foster sports achievements as stipulated in Law Number 11 of 2022 and Presidential Regulation No. 86/2021 regarding the Grand Design of National Sports (DBON). The main goal of DBON is to improve its Olympic ranking, at the end of the 2044 Olympics, Indonesia aims to enter the top 5 in the world.

“In DBON we are changing the paradigm of sport, RRI can convey that to the public,” he hoped. (de)
