Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The India-Khanh Hoa tourism promotion conference 2024 was held on August 28 in Nha Trang city, attracting more than 300 delegates. The event is part of the “Hello Vietnam” Festival taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) and Da Lat (Lam Dong) from August 25 to 31 to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-India diplomatic relations.
Speaking at the conference, Le Huu Hoang, deputy chairman of the Khanh Hoa People's Committee, said it was an opportunity to showcase the two countries' tourism to determine the direction of future cooperation.
Khanh Hoa is particularly keen to collaborate with Indian producers, directors and artists to showcase its culture and tourism in Indian cultural and cinematographic products, the first of which is the film “Love in Vietnam”, the first diplomatic cooperation between Vietnam and India, filming of which is expected to start in September 2024, he added.
Tushar Garg, Deputy Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, stressed that the festival is a cultural event aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries. It has a dynamic platform that helps showcase India's rich culture, diverse cuisines and attractive tourism opportunities. It also demonstrates the commitment of both sides to promote tourism cooperation, especially between India and Khanh Hoa province.
Present at the conference, Tran Hoang Linh, representative of Vietjet Air, announced that his company offers seven direct flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to four cities in India. Vietjet Air will open direct flights from Cam Ranh Airport (Khanh Hoa) to India to better meet the travel needs of tourists on both sides.

According to the Khanh Hoa Tourism Department, during the first eight months of 2024, the province attracted more than 8 million tourists, an increase of more than 61% year-on-year, including more than 3.2 million foreign tourists.
On the same day, the Trang An passenger resort in Hoa Lu district, northern Ninh Binh province, welcomed 800 people from a group of 4,500 Indian billionaire guests. The Indian delegation divided into seven groups is expected to visit Ninh Binh from August 28 to September 5. -VNA
