Shiv works in London for a waste recycling company. His hierarchy sends him to Bombay, in his home country, on a big mission. Near the slums of Grandapur, Shiv finds a bungalow which also houses his adoptive mother Shantiji and her family. As his best friend, Lenin, a homosexual who struggles and brother Laleh, his great love from whom he had to part and who still haunts him.

Shiv finds a country under tension and witnesses clashes between Hindus and Muslims, rich and poor, supporters of tradition and progress… Various India, full of secrets, are faced with an ecological and human disaster. Crime, poisoning, even murder, were all obstacles that made his mission nearly impossible.
