Badminton News: Indonesian women’s singles badminton player, Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi has successfully won the Nantes International Challenge 2023 tournament held at the Salle Métropolitaine de la Trocardière, REZE France.
Occupying the eighth seed, Komang Ayu successfully won the Nantes International Challenge 2023 beating Taiwan representative Liang Ting Yu in a close battle with a score of 21-18, 13-21 and 21-7.
This is the first title Komang has won this year and hopes to continue to increase his ranking so he can appear in the World Tour tournament.
Previously, in the last four of the Nantes International Challenge 2023, Komang had managed to get rid of his compatriot from the Cipayung National Training Center, Tasya Farahnai, in two fairly easy games in a row with the score of 21-12 and 21- 6.
But unfortunately, the two Indonesian representatives who were at the top of the International Challenge 2023 tournament had to admit the superiority of their opponents.
Indonesian men’s doubles pair who participated in the qualifying round, Muh Putra Erwiansyah / Patra Harapan Rindo, failed to beat Malaysian pair, Ya Roy King / Wan Arif Junaidi through a close battle with a score of 16 -21, 21-14, 12-21.
The men’s singles Rouge et Blanc also present from the qualifying round, Jason Christ Alexander, had to admit the superiority of the prop, host of France, Arnaud Merkle in two consecutive matches with the score of 18-21, 16-21.
While the other two titles belong to India in the women’s doubles and mixed doubles sectors for Tanisha Crasto/Ashwini Ponnappa and also Sai Pratheek K/Tanisha Crasto.
