Kitas done, ex-West Ham and Atletico start gas at Persib

Persib Bandung ensured that the Limited Residence Permit (Kitas) cards for Luis Milla’s two new assistant coaches, namely Manuel Perez Cascallana and Carlos Grande Rodriguez, had been completed.

This news was transmitted by Persib via the club’s Instagram account on Friday (9/9) afternoon. In their statement, Persib said Kitas Manuel Perez and Carlos Grande were finished.

“We’re done, it’s time for us to refuel!” Persib wrote on his Instagram account.

The arrival of Kitas, the two new assistant coaches of Persib, is definitely good news for the Maung Bandung team which is preparing to face Arema FC in Liga 1.

In the video uploaded by Persib, Luis Milla is seen smiling broadly as his two assistants arrive at the Maung Bandung team office.

They were immediately seen chatting in the Persib meeting room. The help of the two can certainly help Persib’s preparation for Arema FC at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang on Sunday (11/9).

Persib’s victory over Arema was very important in order to increase the confidence of the players in Maung Bandung’s team after falling in Ligue 1 this season.

On Wednesday (7/9), Persib presented two new assistant coaches who will assist Luis Milla. They are Manuel Perez Cascallana and Carlos Grande Rodriguez. Like Milla, both are Spanish nationals. Cascallana and Rodriguez also arrived in Bandung on Wednesday (7/9).

“The presence of Cascallana and Rodriguez should help Milla improve Persib’s performance to get the best results in every Liga 1 game,” Persib wrote. in its publication on the club’s website.

Cascallana has a professional coaching license from UEFA with a background in sports science. The man who was born in Madrid on April 5, 1989, was part of the technical staff of West Ham United (England), Enskede IK (Sweden), Tokyo Verdy (Japan) and Incheon United (South Korea).

Before joining Persib, Cascallana was an assistant coach at Indian Super League club ATK Mohun Bagan (2020-2022). He helped the team become runners-up in the 2020/2021 season and reach the 2021/2022 AFC Cup Round of 16. In the previous season, he brought ATK Kolkata to become the champion.

Cascallana is fluent in English. It is also able to process and process player statistical data. He also has a long experience coaching Atletico Madrid’s U-15, U-17 and U-19 youth players in 2013-2018.

Profile of Carlos Grande Rodriguez

Rodriguez is a physical trainer licensed by the Royal Madrid Football Federation and holds a bachelor’s degree in sport and physical education from the University of Madrid. Afterwards, he pursued his master’s degree in football with a focus on physical training and injury recovery.

Rodriguez was manager of the CD Academy in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2020. Previously, in 2015/2016, he worked as a physical trainer at the Atletico Madrid Academy and helped manage players’ recovery after wounds.
