Badminton News: On September 26, India’s former world No. 1 badminton player, Kidambi Srikanth posted a photo of him receiving an honorary doctorate from Vinian University this year on social media platforms.

Srikanth is considered to be one of the best badminton players in India today where the player has achieved significant milestones in his badminton career.

On Sunday, he added another feather to his hat, albeit of a different nature, to receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Vinienne.

“I am very happy to share with you another milestone in my life’s journey, it is an honor to receive an honorary doctorate from the prestigious Vinian University. It is a very precious memory for me but I am even more delighted to be with Vinian students sharing this day with my dearest family and friends,” he wrote on social media.

The player could not hide his enthusiasm and publicized his honorary doctorate on social platforms. He also posted photos from getting his doctorate and all smiles as he posed with the others on stage.

KIdambi Srikanth is considered one of the players who decided India’s historic victory in the prestigious Thomas Cup championship last May by beating defending champions Indonesia.

However, the player also drew criticism when the Indian team lost the mixed team gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and then lost to Malaysian youngster Ng Tze Yong in the final.
