Badminton News: Ahead of the 2023 Badminton World Championships, Jonatan Christie and the Indonesian team are stepping up their preparations for the highly anticipated 2023 Badminton World Championships to be held at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark from 21-27 august.

Fifth seed of the tournament, Jonatan Christie will face the Malaysian Lee Zii Jia in the first round. The draw has not affected the team’s resolve to be ready for any challenges that come their way.

Christie expressed his preparation for competitive bouts, acknowledging the intense competition that characterizes the world championships.

“As the event gets closer, my concentration increases. Proper preparation is very important, especially when I’m preparing to face Lee in the first round,” Jonatan Christie commented in an official PBSI statement released on Friday.

World number 21 Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, another Indonesian men’s singles player, is set to face Australian world number 113 Nathan Tang in the first round. If he qualifies, a game against Indian world number 9 HS Prannoy is imminent.

Alfian/Ardianto are eyeing a possible meeting with world number 6 Kang Min Hyuk/Seo Seung Jae of South Korea in the round of 16.
