MotoGP News: Repsol Honda rider Joan Mir is determined to continue his positive trend into the next Japanese MotoGP event. Mir hopes to appear competitive again and liven up the high-level competition.
After stumbling in the first half, Joan Mir and Repsol Honda finally found a positive point in the last Indian GP. Even though he fell during the sprint race session, Mir managed to get back up on the day of the race itself. The Marc Marquez tandem finished fifth in the general classification. This result cannot be said to be special, but it is considered good and the most impressive of the entire 2023 season for Mir. Realizing that the trend is positive, Mir wants to look good again in Sakura’s country later.
“The fans here are amazing. I can’t wait to come to this track as a Honda rider. We achieved good results in India, so we hope to continue this trend in Japan as well,” Mir said in an interview with local media.
“But I think this weekend will be a little more difficult. That’s why we have to wait and see what happens in the end,” said the former Suzuki rider.
Mir demands that Honda recover immediately for the remainder of this season. Honda’s revival and performance after receiving criticism from Mir will determine the rider’s future. Mir will not hesitate to leave if Honda continues to be sluggish.
