Now the proud “Dragon King” Jigme takes part in religious celebrations in the city of Panbang with his family. The royal family attends the three-day “Panbang Tshechu” festival. Tshechu is a religious festival where sacred dances are performed by monks representing gods. The royal couple later published footage of their participation and the colorful celebration on their Instagram account.
The three-day festival ends on November 15 with the erection of a giant picture meant to rid audiences of bad revenue. Most districts have their own Tshechu.

Traditional festivals are a good opportunity for many people to gather from faraway areas. About 1,000 people attended the celebrations in Panbang. The last day is also a religious holiday in Bhutan. It is used to mark the day the Buddha’s Master descended, making it an auspicious day.
