Jeka Saragih appear in the final On the way to the UFC after passing the quarter-finals and semi-finals in convincing fashion.
Jeka is one of the Indonesian mixed martial arts (MMA) athletes who was selected in the Road to UFC 2022 program.
The North Sumatra fighter had his first fight or quarter-final with a convincing victory over Indian representative Pawan Maan Singh.
Jeka won in the first round. A spinning punch from Jeka stopped Singh from getting up. The knockout victory was also scored by a figure who was promoted by One Pride.
In the semis, Jeka again recorded a first-round knockout victory. This time, Jeka’s right hand knocked out resistance from South Korea’s Ki Won Bin.
Of the eight Road to UFC finalists, only Jeka managed to earn back-to-back quarterfinal and semifinal knockout victories.
In the final match, Jeka will face another Indian representative, Anshul Jubli. In the quarter-finals, Jubli did not fight as Patrick Sho Usami was declared unfit to fight. Meanwhile, in the semi-final match, Jubi won on points over Kim Kyung Pyo.
Outside of the two Road to UFC matches, Jeka has a record of 11 wins and two losses.
Of these 11 victories, Jeka won only once on points. Ten wins have been recorded by knockout or submission.
