Jeka Saragih will face Indian fighter Anshul Jubli in the Final Road to UFC to be held on Fight Night at UFC APEX, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America, on Saturday (4/2) evening local time or Sunday ( 5/2 ) WIB.
Mola’s representative Mirwan Suwarso has said that the public can watch the Jeka Saragih VS Anshul Jubli game for free by simply logging into the Mola app. “We invite all Indonesians to show positive support for Jeka Saragih in the Final Road to UFC,” Mirwan said.
Mirwan said Jeka Saragih had already beaten Pawan Maan Singh in Singapore and was the only one of five Indonesian fighters to advance to the semi-finals. Jeka once again made history by knocking out Korean fighter Ki Won Bin in the Road to UFC Abu Dhabi semi-final in November 2022.
“I hope Jeka Saragih’s journey and struggle in the final will once again write a glorious historical record that will make all the people of Indonesia proud,” Mirwan said.
He explained that Mola is working with KOBI (Indonesian Martial Sports Committee) in the midst of preparing a martial arts ecosystem through the MMA Fight Academy program. The aim is to discover the potential of young Indonesian fighters and prepare them to become Jeka Saragih’s successors.
“Hearings were held in Bali. There are 13 young fighters from all over Indonesia who were recruited in December 2022. They will go to the United States and meet other fighters from auditions in England and the United States,” explained Mirwan.
The fighters received intensive training from the same coaching staff as Jeka Saragih’s coaching staff to prepare for the Final Road to UFC at San Diego training camp.
Meanwhile, Senior Vice President and Head of UFC Asia Kevin Chang said, “Road to UFC has been a huge success with emerging talent from Asia. Finalists will have the opportunity to earn contracts to fight and represent their home country in the UFC. (jpc)
