According to data from IQAir, Jakarta’s poor air quality was not included in the list of 10 cities with the worst air quality in the last year.
The site reports that the worst air quality is found in the city of Lahore, Pakistan, with particulate matter (pm) concentrations exceeding World Health Organization guidelines more than 10 times (WHO).
Additionally, the city with the second worst air quality is Hotan, a city of China who also had a pm level of more than 10 times the WHO guide throughout the last year.
India has been listed as the country with the most cities with the worst air quality so far last year. At least 6 of the 10 worst cities in Indonesia are in India.
The city of Bhiwadi, for example, is the city with the third worst air quality in 2022, followed by Delhi in fourth place.
Other cities of India Darbhanga is ranked sixth as the city with the worst air quality, followed by Asopur in seventh place throughout 2022.
New Delhi and Patna took ninth and tenth places in last year’s ranking of cities with the worst air quality.
Meanwhile, the other 2 cities in the order of 10 cities with the worst air quality are Peshawar in Pakistan at number five and N’Djamena in Chad.
