The IND vs. AUS World Cup final was watched by 59 million concurrent viewers, and the IND vs. PAK match was watched by 43 million viewers, the same number of viewers for the IND group stage match against New Zealand. Before the tournament, it was claimed that most viewers would be interested in the clash between the two rival countries.
