According to reports, Rohit Sharma has learned about Mumbai Indians’ captaincy change ahead of IPL 2024.
In a surprising turn of events, Mumbai Indians announced Hardik Pandya as their new captain, marking the end of Rohit’s successful 10 years as MI captain. While many fans called the franchise’s decision a ‘betrayal’, Rohit Sharma was reportedly aware of the decision since the start of the World Cup.
During the player exchange window, the main topic was Hardik Pandya’s return to Mumbai Indians. According to the Indian Express, Pandya’s decision is subject to certain conditions: he wants to become captain of the franchise. After discussions, the franchise agreed to Pandya’s request and informed Sharma about it during the World Cup.
