Liputan6.com, Jakarta – India’s diplomatic representative in Indonesia still regularly commemorates International Yoga Day. This year, the feeling is different, as the Indian Embassy in Indonesia is hosting a yoga class on an Indian Navy ship.
International Yoga Day falls on June 21. Besides celebrating the big day, the yoga class held on the ship at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta was also a big gathering of yoga fans.
The 9th International Yoga Day on June 17, 2023 carries a unique and special theme, namely “yoga ocean ringThe Indian Embassy brought yoga teacher, Vishal Tripathy of YogaFit, aboard the Indian Navy vessel Shivalik.
INS Shivalik, part of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet, joined yoga enthusiasts to celebrate the event in Jakarta.
Captain Akash Chaturvedi, Commanding Officer of INS Shivalik, welcomed yoga participants to his ship that morning: “We will spread the message of yoga and yoga throughout the country.”
The ship’s arrival in Indonesia is part of the Indian Navy’s missionary journey. “We decided to come here and celebrate International Yoga Day with the people of Jakarta,” Chaturvedi said.
“The party will last three days,” he explained, “from the 17th to the 21st.”
Chaturvedi invites anyone to join them today, aboard INS Shivalik, whether for a group yoga activity or just to visit the ship.
