Indonesian national team confirmed to face Curacao in the game FIFA Day, on September 24 and 27, 2022. Both matches will be played at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA).
This assurance was transmitted by the Secretary General of PSSI Yunus Nusi via the official website PSSIFriday (19/8).
“Thank God we have an agreement with Curacao. They are a solid team and will play twice in Indonesia, namely on September 24 at the Bandung Lautan Api stadium. [GBLA] and September 27 at Jakarta International Stadium [JIS]said Yunus Nusi.
Yunus said PSSI approached India to arrange a trial during FIFA Matchday.
“The option against India has been canceled as they have been sanctioned by FIFA. Luckily the PSSI have not reached an agreement with India, so it does not interfere with the opponent’s preparations during the FIFA Matchday match,” said Yunus Nusi.
The Curacao national team is a country in the Caribbean islands with a FIFA world ranking of 84. Yunus hopes that these two friendlies against Curacao can improve the quality of the Indonesian national team ahead of the 2022 AFF Cup.

In the last FIFA Matchday game last June, the Indonesian national team played against Bangladesh at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Soreang and ended in a 0-0 draw.
