SULSELSATU.com, MAKASSAR – Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) President Makassar City Indira Yusuf Ismail was present to open the 3×3 Teeneger Nipah Park Tournament held at Second Floor Basketball Arena Nipah Mall on Friday (6/23) /2023).
No less than 60 men’s and women’s 3×3 basketball teams from middle and high schools participated in this game. The tournament will take place over three days until June 25.
The 3×3 Teeneger Nipah Park Tournament is one of Perbasi’s work programs for the city of Makassar in conjunction with the Nipah Party and is fully supported by KONI Makassar and the Makassar Dispora.
Indira said that this activity was the second tournament organized in 2023. She also appreciated the management of Makassar City Perbasi and the events committee.
“This is the second time I’ve taken part this year. Of course, very high appreciation goes to all the management and the committee for holding an event like this,” Indira said.
Indira then motivated the participants present that this tournament is not only a competition for a champion. But at the same time as an evaluation event to see the potential of future Makassar City basketball athletes.
“Of course, it’s also an event to evaluate and select our basketball patriots,” he said.
Not to mention, the President of Makassar City TP PKK has also expressed his intention to construct sports facilities and infrastructure to support the development of basketball athletes in Makassar City.
“Pray, God willing, the field we are going to build will soon be completed and completed this year, so that we can compete on an international level field,” he hoped.
On this occasion, Indira also aroused the enthusiasm of the tournament participants. After officially opening the event, Indira then cheered on the attendees, who immediately received cheers and applause from the attendees.
“Sports greetings, sports greetings, basketball is cool,” Indira applauded.
Finally, the opening of the tournament was closed with the presentation of the prize directly from Indira to the Makassar City basketball team which won a gold medal in the regional championship sports competition (KEJURDA) between the South Sulawesi regional students.
