Pakistan would claim their first win at the T20 World Cup on Thursday after losing to arch-rivals India, but Zimbabwe bravely stood in their way. Not only were Pakistan beaten in a low scoring match in Perth by Zimbabwe, but Babar Azam’s men also lost just 1 point in their pursuit of 131.
With 3 needed on last delivery in what turned out to be a thrilling affair, Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi rushed to get two goals after pushing Brad Evans’ delivery into the long area. But a throw at the end of the striker was good and Afridi didn’t reach safety.
Pakistan lost to awesome Zimbabwe and Twitter exploded with memes.
Indians, of course, are at the forefront.

There’s no way Pakistan would lose to Zimbabwe just to show how valuable Babar Azam’s offensive against them was.

Pakistan’s defeat came just days after being tricked by Virat Kohli’s heroics.
The incredible Kohli roared at MCG to stun Pakistan in the T20 World Cup clash between arch-foes on Sunday. Kohli came on early as India lost the net in confusion while chasing a tricky tally of 160 set up by Pakistan earlier. 31/4 in 6.1 overs was India as Kohli and Hardik Pandya decided to play a wary inning as the two tied up an 113-run partnership. As the required pace increases by the minute and Pandya struggles to make it big, Kohli decides to go wild.
The former India captain went 82 unbeaten in 53 deliveries spanning six caps and four maximums. The 33-year-old hit an outrageous two-six against Haris Rauf on the last two balls from the penultimate that put India in the hunt. Mohammad Nawaz failed to contain his nerves in the dramatic final game as India sealed the game on the last delivery of the day.
