Indian tourists flock to Bali, the second highest number of foreign tourists after Australia

Badung – Badung Regency (Dispar) Tourism Board Director I Nyoman Rudiartha said Indian tourists have started flocking to Bali tourism over the past few months. In fact, the position of foreign tourists (tourists) India has recorded the second highest after Australia.

This at the same time reinforces the statement of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno who said that a new phenomenon of Indian tourists has started to flock to the Island of the Gods.

“We see that last year India (tourists) was not too big (the number). However, this year it is quite big, in fact India is second with the most tourists foreigners after Australia,” he said while meeting at Badung Regent’s Office on Wednesday (7/12/2023).

Also, Rudiartha said, the number of Indian tourists visiting Bali each month is between 50,000 and 60,000 people. The government hopes that the large number of tourist arrivals from South Asian countries can boost the target of foreign tourists visiting Bali.

“At least it’s close to the number of Australian guest visits, which reach 100,000+ people every month. The figure of 75,000 per month (Indian tourist arrivals) is optimistic about its achievement,” a- he explained.

Seeing the positive trend of Indian tourist visits to Bali, Badung Tourism Board will carry out offline and online tourism marketing/promotion in India. On the other hand, China.

“At the moment, we haven’t been able to promote overseas tourism, one of which is in India. Hopefully we can do that then (later),” Rudiartha said.

The traffic of foreign tourists entering Bali until June 2023 was recorded at 2.4 million people. After Australia and India, the United States (US), Great Britain and Singapore are the top five tourists visiting Bali.

He also said Chinese tourist visits to Bali are slowly starting to increase. “Tourists need, after yesterday’s pandemic and now the situation has improved. They also need healing, so it seems that Bali has become a distinct magnet for tourists to enjoy their vacation opportunities,” said the former chief of Kuta sub-district.
