Indian Tech Giant Founder Thinks AI Can’t Match the Human Mind

JAKARTA- The founder of Indian tech giant Infosys, Narayana Murthy (78), believes that AI (artificial intelligence) or artificial intelligence cannot match the human mind.

Narayana Murthy is one of the richest people in the world thanks to the success of Infosys, which operates in information technology, business consulting and other fields. His daughter, Akshata Murthy, is the wife of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

“ChatGPT is a great addition to knowledge generation, for performing certain tasks, for example writing essays,” Murthy said in an interview with CNBC quoting detikINET.

“But let’s remember that you and I have access to the same ChatGPT,” he said.

Thus, the human mind will differentiate the results, with the experience and knowledge of each.

“If there’s competition between you and me, you’ll take ChatGPT’s output as a base and then add your own differentiation, your own intelligence,” Murthy continues.

“Lazy people will get a (grade) C. Only smart people will get an A. Therefore, I’m not too worried about ChatGPT,” he added.

Murthy said he would use ChatGPT as a kind of aid to produce higher quality work and results, but not as a substitute for humans.

“At the end of the day, I really believe in the theory that the human mind is the most powerful imagination. Nothing can beat the human mind,” he said.
