Whereas Prey just landed on Disney+, another very similar creature landed on Captain, a film by Shakti Soundar Rajan.
Previously composed of four films all released in theaters, the saga predator has just undergone a considerable change since Preyprequel to the first one predator, released on Disney+. Despite everything, his arrival on the platform doesn’t seem to dampen the public’s enthusiasm for the universe initiated by John McTiernan: Prey already broke the record.
After RR, supercharged Telugu super-blockbuster, and the official remake of Forrest Gump, Indian cinemas still have big surprises, as evidenced by the trailer for Captain, a new feature film by Shakti Soundar Rajan. With Captainzombie film director Miruthan sees alien movie and to say that this alien looks like a Predator is an understatement.
So clear Captain nothing to do with the American story, at least not officially, slimy creatures from Indian movies are very reminiscent of the ones in the saga. The resemblance is also reinforced by plan in thermal vision modeinseparable from the movie predator. Actor Arya interprets a soldier tasked with carrying out a dangerous operation who will confront his team with aliens who appear to be extremely vicious and extremely threatening.
Unlike the trailer for Preywhich only very quickly revealed the appearance of extraterrestrials and which played out the mystery, that is Captain go all out and reveal the creature to us almost head-on. If that thing ditched its dreadlocks and futuristic appearance, it looked like pure digital creation, unlike its American cousin and more practical effects than digital. While in Foreignextraterrestrial egg found on another planet, in Captainthe egg is at the bottom of a lake, most likely located in India.
Tanks, bombs, machine guns, Captain may have no other ambition than to be rocking muscular B series and us, it excites us. If the movie happened on 9 September 2022 in Indiait doesn’t have a French release date yet.
