WEATHERINDONESIA, SURABAYA – The enthusiasm of the participants in the 2024 East Java Regional Police Cup National Badminton Championship is not only shared by the Indonesian people, but also abroad.

This prestigious event created by the East Java Regional Police and the East Java PBSI will bring together 1950 participants, including 20 from abroad such as India, Malaysia and Singapore.

Seeing this enthusiasm, East Java PBSI General President Tonny Wahyudi hopes that this championship can give birth to new badminton athletes who can make Indonesia proud on the world stage.

“We really support the sport of badminton, this event aims to attract the best athletes who hopefully can bring a good reputation to Indonesia,” he hoped.

In addition, this championship will be divided into 26 age categories and an internal team match.

“So, we competed from early grades, children, beginners, adolescents, cadets, adults to internal police officers throughout East Java and Polda,” explained Tonny when confirmed by TIMES Indonesia .

In hosting the event, the party has prepared all the needs and equipment to the best of their ability.

“Later, we will use four badminton gyms, namely Gor Sudirman as the main gym, Gor Merr, Suryanaga and Gor Polda,” he said.

As host, Tonny is also committed to upholding good sportsmanship.

“We are ready to host this event honestly, fairly, with high integrity and maintaining sportsmanship,” he said.

For your information, the East Java Police Chief Cup National Badminton Championship 2024 will open next Monday (1/7/2024) with a total prize pool of IDR 300 million.
