The struggle of the Indonesian representatives to win the championship continues in India Open 2023. Based on today’s Indian Open schedule, nine representatives will compete.
Mixed Doubles Zachariah Josiahno Sumanti/Hediana Julimarbela will play first. Both will face Danish pair Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Boje in the first round.
Elderly couple Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan facing a delicate match. dads will face Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang, runners-up at the Malaysian Open last weekend. The two pairs also have a balanced 1-1 encounter record, with the Chinese pair winning the last duel in the Round of 16 at the 2022 Japan Open.
World number one in men’s doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto will open his work in India Open 2023 taking on Choi Sol Gyu/Kim Won Ho of South Korea. Fajar/Rian are chasing their second title earlier this year after winning in Kuala Lumpur.
In single number Gregoria Mariska Tunjung will try to make up for his disappointing results at the Malaysia Open when he fell in the second round. This time, Gregoria will start against Denmark’s Line Christophersen.
In the meantime Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will seek to continue dominating Lu Guang Zu from China. Ginting had successfully won all three previous encounters, but their last match lasted three games in the 2020 Thomas Cup Final.
The Indian Open 2023 will be held at KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi. The match will start at 09:00 local time or 10:30 WIB.
