HOLOPIS.COMJAKARTA – Anthony Ginting has managed to secure a ticket to the semi-finals of the 2023 Indian Open, after defeating the Chinese representative, Li Shi Feng in the quarter-finals.
Appearing at the Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi, India on Friday (20/1), Anthony Ginting managed to defeat Li Shi Feng in a rubber match, 21-11, 17-21 and 21-18.
In his match, Anthony Ginting completely controlled the flow of the match in the first set, where he continued to lead the scoring until the interval session.
In fact, his points came quickly after the interval, Anthony Ginting was able to hold off Li Shi Feng’s points at number 11 when the score was 13-11, so victory was achieved with a final score of 21-11.
Then in the second set, Anthony Ginting actually led the game, but he was careless so the tide turned.
Li Shi Feng finally managed to lock the second set with 21-17, and the match was decided in the last set/3.
In the third set, both players played harder, with Anthony Ginting and Li Shi Feng chasing the numbers.
As a result, Anthony Ginting managed to emerge victorious with a final score of 21-18, which at the same time closed the game.
Thanks to this victory, Anthony Ginting qualified for the semi-finals, where he will face the winner between Loh Kean Yew (Singapore) and Kunlavut Vitidsarn (Thailand).
