Prime Minister, Narendra Modidetermined India will become a developed country within 25 years or in 2047, Monday (8/15).
“We have to make India a developed country in the next 25 years, while we live,” Modi said in a speech celebrating India’s 75th Independence Day.
“This is a major resolution, and we must work towards achieving it with all our might.”
The meaning of a developed country itself is a country that has a lot of industrial activity. The community also generally has a large average income, quoted on the site Cambridge University.
As reported Reutersaccording to the World Bank, India is now among the countries with a lower-middle economy.

Meanwhile, high-income countries, such as the United States, have a per capita income of up to 13,205 US dollars (194.4 million rupees) or more. The United States is one of the developed countries of the world.
Although India’s per capita income is still lower than that of the United States, India is the sixth largest economy in the world.
New Delhi’s economy is also expected to grow by more than 7% in the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2023. This figure is the fastest when compared to major economies.
Not only that, many experts believe that India’s economy will grow to become the third largest in the world by 2050, after the United States and China.
However, India’s per capita income is likely to remain lower than some other countries.
Moreover, India is expected to become the most populous country in the world next year, beating China.
