India Open 2023 Round of 32: Here is the full schedule for Indonesian players

Jakarta, Gatra.com – India Open 2023 enters the Round of 16 which continues today, Wednesday (18/1). Playing at KD Jhadav Indoor Hall, India at 09:00 local time or 10:30 WIB, nine Indonesian representatives will compete for tickets to the next round.

The men’s doubles representatives, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan will face the representatives of China, finalists of the Malaysian Open 2023 last week, Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang. Mixed doubles representatives, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, will face Chinese representatives, Wang Yi Lyu/Huang Dong Ping in this match. In the five previous meetings, Rinov / Pitha had failed to beat the winning duo of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Meanwhile, fierce matches are expected to occur in the men’s singles sector. Shesar Hiren Rhustavito will face world number two Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia. Winner 5-4 in the previous nine encounters, Vito should be able to fight back and claim victory.

The last meeting between the two was in the last 32 of Roland-Garros 2023, when Vito won in straight games, 21-19, 21-18.

Women’s singles representative Gregoria Mariska Tunjung will face Danish representative Line Christophersen. Gregoria excels on paper as world number 15, while her opponent is currently ranked world number 28.

This time, Indonesia did not send a women’s doubles representative. Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, who were previously among the players to compete, had to forfeit after Fadia suffered an injury in the semi-finals of Malaysia Open 2023 last Saturday (2/14).
