Kurian received the election certificate from the state assembly election officer Arvind Sharma on Tuesday. The certificates were handed over in the presence of chief minister Mohan Yadav and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader VD Sharma.

“Today I received my election certificate as a senator from the state. I would like to thank the people of Madhya Pradesh, the party leadership in the state, the central leadership of the party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Kurian told reporters after receiving the certificate.
He also thanked Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for providing Rs 20 crore to Kerala, which is facing a natural disaster.

“MP Mohan Yadav has given a grant of Rs 20 lakh to Kerala as relief fund for the landslides in Wayanad. I would like to thank him on behalf of the people of Kerala,” he added.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated Kurian and said his presence in the Senate from Madhya Pradesh would definitely strengthen the state's voice.
“Congratulations to Union Minister of State George Kurian on his unopposed election to the Senate from Madhya Pradesh. Your presence in the Senate from Madhya Pradesh will definitely strengthen the voice of the state,” Chief Minister Yadav said on X.
BJP president VD Sharma also congratulated Kurian and wrote in the X, “After being elected unopposed as Senator from Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister of State George Kurian visited the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly and received the certificate of greeting from Senate Chairman Mohan Yadav.
