Last week, passenger Saharsa-Amritsar Jan Sewa Express, in India, complained about a very bad smell coming from the toilet. Since the door was locked from the inside, the officers had to force their way in.
Body found after 900 km journey
Inside, they find the lifeless body of a man. Authorities said he likely died shortly after boarding a train in the eastern state of Bihar.
The train has covered more than 900 km in 24 hours. This man, whose identity is currently unknown, “may have settled in the carriage in the marshalling yard two or three days before the body was found”according to a police officer.
“Died after falling into a coma”
A doctor from the rail service, quoted by Indian Timeclaiming that the body had decomposed on invention. This person is “died after a coma” when he’s in the bathroom, he said.
After being delayed by nearly five hours, the train was able to resume its journey. Photos of the deceased were circulated at various stations in Bihar state, where the train started its journey, to help authorities identify him.
