Egyptian authorities and representatives of French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation took part last week in a ceremony to celebrate the 10,000 hours of flight of the Egyptian Air Force Rafale.
After the first order in 2015, which made Egypt the Rafale’s first export customer, then the second order in 2021, this is a new milestone for the Rafale which, together with the Egyptian Air Force, passed the first 10,000 flight hours operated by a user other than the French Air Force .

“Egypt chose the Rafale, which it recognizes as a unique ‘game changer’, to ensure its role as a key player on the regional and international arena in full sovereignty, in a demanding geopolitical context. This celebration of approximately 10,000 hours of Rafale flight pays homage to the great mastery of the Egyptian Air Force, the excellence of the Rafale, and honors Dassault Aviation, which maintains a strong relationship with Egypt based on trust and a cooperative commitment spanning almost 50 years,” said Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation.
The 10,000-hour crossing confirms the technological and operational excellence of the Rafale, testifying to the quality of the training received in France by the Egyptian crew and the competence of the Egyptian Air Force which led, easily and smoothly, to the transformation of the pilot and his mechanics into the Rafale.
