Fri 08/12/2022 — Better than Europe?

The most famous elements of the company Switch Mobility maybe the boss. Andy Palmer. A former Nissan executive, he was the head of the Japanese manufacturer at the time of the Leaf’s launch. After moving to Aston Martin, he has started several zero-emissions projects. At the head of Switch Mobility, the list is no longer the same, but the zero-emissions goal remains. Previously Optare, Switch Mobility was a bus manufacturer. The company is English speaking, with production units in Spain and India. This is where Switch Mobility brings its new zero-emissions bus: the EiV 12. With 300 km of autonomy on its battery, this bus is perfect for urban use. Chalo Company, India’s public transport operator, has really won, it has just committed to acquiring 5,000 of them over a 3 year period.

There used to be a large order for electric buses in China, but it seems to us that this is the second largest order for electric buses in the world. Some buses will replace existing polluting vehicles, but many will be on new routes to increase India’s mobility. No emission.

We can do the same in Europe…

Will developing countries quickly switch to electro-mobility?
