A song composed by children
During the event, the mayor, Marie-Christine Baudouin, accompanied by several elected officials, paid tribute to the president of the Association for International Solidarity in Asia (ASIA), Philippe Boursault, and its founder, Alain Payen: “Thank you for your investment in the solidarity association and education this, heavily invested locally, in the Central region and in Asia. »
For twelve years, the association has been raising awareness and training young people, from kindergartens to doctorates, in international solidarity through solidarity, cultural, artistic and environmental experiences in India, China and Uzbekistan.
ASIE’s goal is to train young people to understand their role as citizens here and elsewhere and to acquire social and behavioral attitudes and commitments in their daily lives. Based in Bourges, the association works with around a thousand young people every year.
This year, ASIE is working with classes CM1 and CM2 at the Raoul-Néron school. Children go to the library to find out about associations and discover the importance of protecting the environment. In this context, they composed a song around the exhibition, accompanied by singer Jo Ziako and actress Adrienne Bonnet.
This song was performed by the students, on opening night, in front of their parents. The exhibition can be seen until Saturday.
